House in Argentina

Sunday reminds me of barbecues in Argentina. So, it's a good day to post pictures of this colonial style house typical of the Argentine Pampas: pinewood floors in some of the rooms, checkered black and white in others, furniture made of wood and cast iron lamps. Today is still-life photographer Sandra Lane's turn. I love the way she combines light and colours and the care for details. Some glamorous, some very simple. Take some time to look at the details. Interior Designer Lisa Rachelle McDennon

Fabulous Friday brings us California based interior designer Lisa Rachelle McDennon who runs her own in Laguna Beach. Her work has appeared in Victorian Homes Magazine, House Beautiful, and Orange Coast. Her rooms are refined and elegant; a mixture of traditional and contemporary style. I read in her portfolio that during meetings with clients she sketches their ideas and then provides them with three dimensional drawings and sketches in additon to architectural drawings to allow clients to better visualize the interiors. How cool is that? I would frame these sketches and put them on display!
